  • Runs on all recent versions of Windows, 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista32
  • RoHS compliant (lead free) & CE marked
Benefits

The large channel buffers ensure that longer sampling periods can achieved at any specific sampling frequency, avoiding the need to reduce sampling frequency and so maintaining sampling resolution.
The sampling rate of 200 MHz provides 5 ns between samples. (In general the sampling frequency should be 3 to 5 times faster than the shortest timing change being measured).
The pattern generator aids debugging by providing user specified signals to the unit under test.

Software

The software for the analyser is intuitive, very easy to understand and gives the user one-button access to most of the Logic-16's advanced features. It is user friendly, and incorporates feedback suggestions from users. You could be taking meaningful measurements minutes after installing it for the first time.

Most functions are directly selectable by means of function buttons on the main screen. The Logic-16 interfaces to the PC via the USB port.
No external power is necessary.

The Logic-16 offers high performance, excellent value for money and ease-of-use.

Bandwidth 50 MHz minimum
Threshold voltage 1.2 - 2.3 V (0.1 steps)
Data buffer size: 1 Meg samples per channel
Pre/post-trigger buffer The data buffer is divided into pre and post trigger sections. Sizes can be changed in 1000 samples steps
Internal sampling clock Rates - MHz: 200, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2.5, 1
           kHz: 500, 250, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2.5
Stability - 100 ppm
External sampling clock Input to channel 15
Asynchronous - clock on rising/falling edge, 25MHz maximum
synchronous - clock on rising/falling edge, 10MHz maximum
Digital logger clock
(Logging to hard disk)
Log rate - 1 second to 1 hour
Stability - logger timing obtained from PC
Post trigger delay
(Extended capture time)
Depends on sample frequency:
500 MHZ - maximum delay = 131 μs
200 MHz - maximum delay = 10 ms
1 MHz - maximum delay = 16 sec
2.5 kHz - maximum delay = 6710 sec
Accuracy - 5 x sampling period

(b) Trigger conditions (configured using software)

Pattern "1", "0" and "don't care" ("X") conditions selectable on all channels
Edge Rising edge, falling edge, either (change of state), on any channel.
Edge/Pattern combinations Edge OR pattern (whichever occurs first will cause a trigger)
Edge AND pattern (for a trigger the edge condition must occur while the pattern condition is valid
Edge THEN pattern / Pattern THEN edge (the first condition is required before the second condition
Continuous Unconditionally - display updated at regular intervals.
Conditionally - display updated when a trigger condition is detected. Any of the above trigger conditions may be set as described above.
Pattern valid for more or less than a specified time trigger if pattern < duration (glitch capture), duration ±20ns tolerance, 1 ms max
trigger if pattern > duration, duration ±20ns tolerance, 1 ms max
Mouse/Keyboard A trigger may be forced

(c)  Pattern generator

Pattern source

Pattern editor or user file
Number of channels 16
Data output clock rate 20 MHz maximum
Minimum input impedance of load 4k7 / 100pF
Modes of operation Single/continuous
Note: the Logic-16 can only act as a pattern generator OR analyser, not both at the same time. For simultaneous operation, see the La-Gold-36
